Since 1990, SOAW (School of the Americas Watch) has been educating the public and doing research, writing and activist work to shut down the infamous torture training center. The name of the “school” has changed to “Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation.” SOAW conducts effective political action campaigns in Congress.
